How to delete your account
- Sign in to your Portuguesepedia account, on the site or in the app.
- Open Account, then the Profile tab.
- Select Delete account, and confirm.

What gets deleted
- Your account, with your name and email address.
- Your progress: study history, level history, saved Active Recall items, speaking sessions, completed activities and reading history.
- Your subscription. A paid plan ends right away and does not renew, and the time left on it is not refunded.
- Your saved payment card, deleted from Stripe, the company that processes our payments.
- Your email contact record, so our emails stop, and the reminders sent to your devices.
What we keep, and for how long
Records of the payments you completed. European tax law requires us to hold them for ten years, so we cannot delete them sooner. Each one holds an amount, a date and a tax country, and nothing about how you used the site.
Emails you sent us are not part of your account and are kept separately. Write to us if you want those deleted too.
