Joana: Olá, Sofia!

Sofia: Olá, Joana! Estás com bom aspeto. Como foi o teu fim de semana?

Joana: Olha, nem imaginas. Tive uma intoxicação alimentar.

Sofia: A sério? O que aconteceu?

Joana: No sábado, fui almoçar fora com o Rui. Comi peixe grelhado, mas acho que não estava fresco.

Sofia: Ai ai… e depois?

Joana: À noite, comecei a sentir dores de barriga e fiquei muito enjoada. Passei a noite toda a vomitar.

Sofia: Credo! Foste ao hospital?

Joana: Sim fui, no domingo de manhã. Senti-me tão fraca… Estava desidratada. Deram-me soro e depois mandaram-me para casa para repousar.

Sofia: E agora, como te sentes?

Joana: Agora estou bem. Mas daqui para a frente, vou ter muito cuidado com o que como.

Sofia: Já vi que aprendeste a lição.

Translation

Joana: Hi, Sofia!

Sofia: Hi, Joana! You look great. How was your weekend?

Joana: You won’t believe it. I got food poisoning.

Sofia: Really? What happened?

Joana: On Saturday, I went out to lunch with Rui. I had grilled fish, but I don’t think it was fresh.

Sofia: Oh dear… and then?

Joana: That night, I started having stomach pains and felt very nauseous. I spent the whole night vomiting.

Sofia: Oh my! Did you go to the hospital?

Joana: Yes, I did, on Sunday morning. I felt so weak… I was dehydrated. They put me on a drip and then sent me home to rest.

Sofia: And how are you feeling now?

Joana: I’m fine now. But from now on, I’m going to be very careful about what I eat.

Sofia: I see you’ve learned your lesson.
