Rui: Sabias que os polvos têm três corações e sangue azul?

Rui: The most curious thing is that when an octopus swims, the heart that sends blood to the whole body stops beating. That’s why they prefer to crawl rather than swim.

Simão: And the blue blood? Where does that color come from?

Rui: It comes from a protein-rich in copper. It’s called hemocyanin. It’s more efficient at transporting oxygen in cold environments like the depths of the sea.

Simão: Boy, octopuses really are incredible beings.
