Os ecos desta prestação no debate não se fizeram esperar e foram muitos os apelos, logo nas primeiras horas após o debate, para que Biden abandone esta corrida para dar lugar a outro candidato dos democratas.

Last week’s debate was devastating for the President of the United States. Lacking vigor, at times some disjointed ideas, and clearly lacking the tools to try to counter Donald Trump’s recurring discourse and lies.

The echoes of this performance in the debate were not long in coming and there were many calls, in the first hours after the debate, for Biden to abandon this race to make way for another Democratic candidate.
