Os agricultores franceses estão de novo nas ruas esta manhã.

Desta vez por causa de um projeto de lei sobre restrições à atividade agrícola.

Para os agricultores, a lei que vai a debate esta tarde na Assembleia Nacional vai contra as promessas que o Governo tem feito ou que fez, aliás, no passado.

A correspondente da Antena um em Paris, Rosário Salgueiro, está a acompanhar este protesto dos agricultores junto ao parlamento francês.

Os aplausos dos agricultores aqui concentrados, mas também de alguns deputados que estão ao lado destes homens e destas mulheres que trabalham a terra e que vieram de trator aqui para a porta da Assembleia Nacional.

Já estão mais de uma dúzia de tratores aqui à porta do Parlamento. É no Parlamento que têm todas as atenções porque logo à tarde começa a ser debatida uma lei que, segundo a Federação dos Jovens Agricultores e a Federação das Associações de Agricultores, lhes é favorável.

Uma lei que prevê a reintrodução na agricultura francesa de alguns pesticidas que estão proibidos há pouco mais de cinco anos, mas estão permitidos, por exemplo, em Marrocos.

O mercado agrícola marroquino é um dos grandes concorrentes dos produtos franceses.

Para dar um exemplo, meio-quilo de tomate cereja custa, vindo de Marrocos, €2.49. O mesmo tomate cereja produzido aqui em França custa, meio-quilo, €6.

French farmers are on the streets again this morning.

This time over a bill on restrictions on agricultural activity.

For the farmers, the law that will be debated this afternoon in the National Assembly goes against the promises that the government has made or has made in the past.

Antena 1 correspondent in Paris, Rosário Salgueiro, is following the farmers’ protest outside the French parlament.

The applause from the farmers gathered here, but also from some MPs who are on the side of these men and women who work the land and who have come by tractor here to the door of the National Assembly.

There are already more than a dozen tractors outside Parliament. It is in Parliament that they have all their attention because this afternoon a law will be debated which, according to the Federation of Young Farmers and the Federation of Farmers’ Associations, is favorable to them.

A law that provides for the reintroduction into French agriculture of certain pesticides that have been banned for just over five years, but are allowed, for example, in Morocco.

The Moroccan agricultural market is a major competitor for French products.

To give you an example, half a kilo of cherry tomatoes from Morocco costs €2.49. The same cherry tomato produced here in France costs €6 for half a kilo.
