Tudo começou pelas 06h00 desta manhã, 05h00 em Portugal. Um homem tomou vários reféns no clube noturno Petticoat no centro da cidade holandesa de Ede.

A polícia afasta, para já, qualquer ligação a terrorismo, tendo mesmo na comunicação inicial afirmado que a pessoa constituiria um perigo para si mesma
e para a área circundante ao possivelmente ter em sua posse não só armas como também explosivos.

150 residências na área foram evacuadas e os comboios para a cidade de Ede, no centro dos Países Baixos, com pouco mais de 110.000 habitantes, foram totalmente cancelados.

A polícia estabeleceu várias barreiras para o centro da cidade, aconselhando a população a ficar em casa e tendo mobilizado várias unidades especiais de polícia.

A pouco mais de meia hora, três reféns foram libertados e através da transmissão em directo da cadeia televisiva CNBC, pode-se constatar que na zona de segurança o ambiente apresenta-se calmo com a polícia atenta, mas aparentemente algo descontraída.

It all started at 06:00 this morning, 05:00 in Portugal. A man took several hostages at the Petticoat nightclub in the center of the Dutch city of Ede.

The police have ruled out any link to terrorism for the time being and even stated in their initial communication that the person would pose a danger to himself and the surrounding area by possibly having in his possession not only weapons but also explosives.

150 homes in the area have been evacuated and trains to Ede, in the center of the Netherlands, with just over 110,000 inhabitants, have been completely canceled.

The police set up several barriers to the city center, advising people to stay indoors and mobilizing several special police units.

A little over half an hour later, three hostages were freed and, via the live broadcast on CNBC, it can be seen that the atmosphere in the security zone is calm, with the police vigilant but, apparently, somewhat relaxed.
