O 25 de Abril teve várias interpretações e deixou sonhos por realizar.

Mas isto para dizer que ali todos os sonhos eram possíveis. Depois descobriu-se que todos os sonhos não eram possíveis.

Havia uma história, havia condicionantes. Havia realidades que continuavam e o 25 de Abril tinha que ser renovado, tinha que ser revivido todos os dias, todos os anos, todas as décadas.

Para já, havia os que estavam frustrados. Não houve um 25 de Abril, houve vários 25s de Abril. Houve ganhadores e perdedores.

E os perdedores de Abril, naquela altura, uns nunca mais ganharam. Nunca mais ganharam e ficaram, portanto, um bocadinho– não saudosistas do pré 25 de Abril, mas saudosistas do 25 de Abril de cada um deles.

Lutaram por um determinado 25 de Abril, esse 25 de Abril não ocorreu. À direita
como a esquerda. Até mais à esquerda do que a direita porque o processo a partir de–de há 5 anos a esta– de há 50 anos a esta parte foi da esquerda para a direita, não foi da direita para a esquerda.

There was a history, there were constraints. Some realities continued after that and April 25 had to be renewed, revived every day, every year, every decade.

For starters, some were frustrated. There wasn’t one April 25, there were several April 25s. There were winners and losers.

And the losers of April, at that time, some of them never won again. They never won again and were therefore a little nostalgic. They are not nostalgic for pre-April 25, but nostalgic for their own April 25.

They fought for a certain April 25, but that April 25 didn’t happen. On the right as on the left. Even more to the left than to the right, because the process from 50 years ago has been from left to right, not from right to left.
